A full walk-through of measuring your blood alcohol content with a Bluetooth breathalyzer in the Mypromille app, recorded on a phone with a BACtrack C6. The device’s Bluetooth identifier is blurred out.

What happens in the video:

  1. Scan: Tap Measure on the main screen, and the app looks for nearby breathalyzers over Bluetooth.
  2. Connect: The device appears by name; tap Connect.
  3. Warm up: The sensor needs a few seconds first, and the app counts down — do not blow yet.
  4. Blow: When the status turns to ready to blow, blow steadily while the countdown runs.
  5. Result: The app analyses the sample and shows the measured level in ‰ and in mg/L.

No reading from any app or device makes it safe to drive. Use it to understand your own drinking, not to talk yourself into the car.

Why a measurement is worth having next to the estimate, and where to get a breathalyzer: Measure, Don’t Guess: Connect a Bluetooth Breathalyzer to Mypromille.
